Nancy Sue (Hollis) Bounds-Landgrebe, 78, of Springfield, IL passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born September 14, 1939 in Springfield to Clement James and Beatrice Catherine (Pelham) Hollis. Nancy married her second husband Fredrick D. Landgrebe, February 12, 1979 at Laurel United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren; Christopher Anderson and Nichole Lomprez, one great grandson, Gabriel Marada, and sister, Dorothy (Hollis) Alkire-Sweigart.

Nancy was a 1957 graduate of Athens High School in Athens, IL and she worked for the State of Illinois in the Dept. of Public Aid, as well as, private home care for many years. She was a member of 4H and the Riverton Christian Church. Nancy was a loving mother and she especially adored and loved spending time with her family and beloved dog, Monica.

Survivors include her four children; Debra Sue (husband Kevin) Wake of Davis Junction, IL, Deanna Lee (husband Ronald) Becker of Springfield, IL, Melvin D. (wife Kelly) Bounds of Cornland, IL, and Dwain J. (wife Yoland) Bounds of Chandlerville, IL, five stepchildren; Sandra K. (husband Pat) Armstrong, V. Diane Lomprez, Gary D. (wife Kay) Landgrebe, Kenneth (fiancé Jill) Landgrebe all of Springfield, IL, and Donna S. (husband Bob) Morris of Sherman, IL, 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, her twin sister, Barbara Howard of Springfield, IL and many nieces and nephews and longtime best friend Delores Randall of Dawson, IL.

To honor Nancy’s wishes cremation rites were accorded by Family Care Cremation of Springfield. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11am at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL with Pastor Mike Harney of West Side Christian Church officiating.
